About Us

Mission Statement

Our purpose is to help reduce the homeless pet population through responsible rehoming of pets and providing public education and resources to help reduce the unwanted and homeless pet population as well as provide disaster preparedness resources for pets.
Our History  WORKING ON THE UPDATES

Critters Companion is an animal welfare organization formed in 2003. Our founders had been volunteers for other animal welfare groups in Salt Lake City, but after moving to Ogden found the need to organize their own group. Critters Companion held cat adoptions at the Riverdale PetCo periodically but has always been a part of petfinder.com. In addition, Critters was also part of the trap, alter, release program for feral cats in Ogden. In November 2005, we relocated to Cedar City, Utah.  In 2007, we relocated to De Pere, WI where we had plans to continue our efforts to find homes for homeless pets and to help reduce the homeless pet population.

We currently adopt homeless cats.  The cats are spayed/neutered, socialized, microchiped, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Our Present

Critters Companion is run completely by volunteers.  We are a 501(c)3 no-kill animal welfare organization located in Oconto County, WI and all donations are tax-deductible.  Donations will go to where they are needed most, which currently is to help offset the costs of  vet care,  spaying and neutering, and feeding the animals.

Our Future

Critters Companion is in the process of renovating a small hobby farm into a cat and dog adoption center, education center and clinic for low cost spays/neuters and vaccines.
